Wellbeing Champions is our new training programme for students who want to learn more about building and maintaining their own wellbeing.
Providing mental health awareness and knowledge enables students to build resilience in themselves, and know how to be there for others. It also reduces stigma and embodies our attitude towards creating a sense of belonging and a supportive community.
Students can access a phased programme:
By donating to our Wellbeing Champions, you’ll enable more students to have the awareness, knowledge and experience to support themselves, their friends and the wider community. Your donation can make a profound difference to someone’s life.

“The techniques I have learnt along the way have really helped me put into perspective some negative feelings and thoughts I experience and has allowed me to recognise when I feel overwhelmed and when to take time for myself and refocus.”
These messages are from students, who have participated in our Mood Boost programme that will form part of the Level 3 Wellbeing Champions training.
“The pressures of university can be overwhelming, especially during lockdown restrictions, these pressures are felt by an increasing number of students, myself included. Being a part of the programme means that not only can I help fellow students but I also have a new understanding with dealing with my own thoughts and feelings. Being part of this scheme also means that we can help each other and talk about things away from the formal teaching settings which will bring some relieve and normality.”
